Tecnatom do Brasil inspection services in Angra Nuclear Power Plant 2021 outages
Tecnatom do Brasil successfully performed several inspection services at the 1P26 and 2P17 outrages, corresponding respectively to Units 1 and 2 of Almirante Álvaro Alberto Nuclear Power Station (Angra dos Reis, Brazil).
Over 50 employees were teamed up for the activities and worked throughout 4 months in different components monitored such as valves, tanks, heat exchangers, steam turbine and pipes.
The technicians, duly certified for the tasks, carried out thickness measurement, dye penetrant testing, magnetic particle inspection, visual inspection, manual and automated ultrasonic testing.
Due to Covid-19, social distance, masks and temperature monitoring were constant practices. The company also followed Covid-19 protocol as recommended by Eletronuclear.
