On past March 19th night the Unit 2 of Almirante Álvaro Alberto NPP was reconnected to the Brazilian power grid, once finished the programmed refueling outage 2P14. Up to 3,500 activities scheduled for this outage were performed within a timeframe of 28 days involving a workforce over 1,200 people.
On this occasion, Group Tecnatom supplied UT and VT services on primary piping welds and Steam Generators. The works were carried out in partnership with Westinghouse (inspection activities) and Tecnatom do Brasil on charge of the outage coordination and logistics. In total, 35 people with 6 different nationalities were mobilized to the site.
This is the last package of services to be supplied within the current ISI long-term contract. The services for next eight outages will be published in two new biddings expected for next April-May.
